Corrections, questions and product suggestions all reach the same inbox. Janet reads everything personally, which is why replies take a few days rather than a few minutes.
By email
This is the only email address for the site. If a message claiming to be from Strand & Suds comes from anywhere else, it is not us.
There is no phone number and no postal address, because this is a publishing site run by one person rather than a business with premises. We would rather say that than invent a contact detail that goes nowhere.
Corrections
These are the most welcome messages we get. If a page has a factual error, a dead product, a broken link or a claim that does not hold up, please say so — and if you can point at a source, better still.
Corrections to factual claims are made and noted on the page with a date rather than quietly edited. That is set out in the editorial policy.
Product suggestions
Happily received. What helps most is the specific problem you think it solves and which hair type it suits, because that is how pages here are organized.
What will not work: a brand asking to be added in exchange for anything. No brand pays for inclusion or placement on this site, and a paid-placement request is the fastest way to be excluded from consideration.
What we cannot help with
Personal hair or scalp advice. We are not qualified to give it. If your hair is shedding, your scalp is sore, or something has changed suddenly, that is a question for a doctor or a board-certified dermatologist rather than a website. Our page on hair thinning explains where that line sits.
Orders and returns. We do not sell anything. If you bought something through a link here, the retailer handles the order — we are not part of that transaction and cannot see it.
